Creating Permanent Luxury

"Here at North Avoca, we've created a couple of permanent daybed and hangout structures," Jason explains. "While temporary daybeds offer flexibility, these beautifully crafted permanent structures provide both stability and style."

The design features a robust wooden structure, carefully painted to withstand coastal elements, ensuring durability and long-term appeal. Adding to the visual charm, a breeze block backing enhances the overall aesthetic while offering a functional windbreak.

Built for Strength & Longevity

Durability was a key consideration in this design. "All of these daybeds have been made from solid concrete, ensuring they remain in place for years to come," says Jason. "Their longevity means they’ll always be a staple feature of this outdoor space."

To enhance the ambiance, integrated strip lighting casts a soft, inviting glow in the early mornings and evenings, making these spaces not just practical but also a visual delight after sundown.

Designed for Comfort & Practicality

Beyond aesthetics and strength, comfort is paramount. Each daybed is topped with custom-made cushions crafted from high-quality Sunbrella material, known for its durability and resistance to the elements. Beneath the cushions, a layer of hessian ensures proper drainage, allowing rainwater to pass through and preventing moisture buildup.

"Every single cushion on these structures is custom-made locally," Jason emphasises. "That local craftsmanship ensures both quality and a personal touch, making each piece truly unique."
